UN Water Conference (Abu Dhabi, UAE 8-10 December 2026) Symposia and Side Events
The ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Water and Heritage (ISC Water) proposes to co-organize three official Side Events and Symposia in partnership with affinity organizations and partners including ICOMOS Malaysia, ICOMOS Türkiye, ICOMOS SDG Working Group, ICOMOS Climate Action Working Group, The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, the Politecnico di Milano WatHer Project, the Universita di Sapienza Roma, The University of Reading, World Monuments Fund, The Future Food Institute, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization Globally Important Agriculture Heritage Systems, Wageningen University (list in formation) to occur at the 2026 ICOMOS General Assembly (Kuching, Malaysia), COP31 in (Antalya, Türkiye) and UN Water Conference (Abu Dhabi, UAE). These Symposia and Side Events are anticipated to occur in close proximity to the conference venues; the format is anticipated to be in person or hybrid (in-person attendance with remote access).
Le Comité scientifique international de l’ICOMOS sur l’eau et le patrimoine (ISC Water) propose de coorganiser trois événements parallèles et symposiums officiels en partenariat avec diverses organisations et entités, notamment ICOMOS Malaisie, ICOMOS Turquie, le Groupe de travail de l’ICOMOS sur les objectifs de développement durable, le Groupe de travail de l’ICOMOS sur l’action climatique, la Commission internationale des irrigations et du drainage (CIID), le projet WatHer du Politecnico di Milano, l’Université La Sapienza de Rome, l’Université de Reading, le World Monuments Fund, le Future Food Institute, l’initiative GIAHS (Systèmes ingénieux du patrimoine agricole mondial) de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO) et l’Université de Wageningen (liste en cours d’élaboration). Ces symposiums et événements parallèles devraient se tenir à proximité immédiate des lieux de conférence ; le format envisagé est soit en présentiel, soit hybride (participation en présentiel avec accès à distance).
